People are precious, unique and valuable. It's good to remind them, serve them, gift them - words are a gem.

Author ''April May'' offers unique services, by appointment.
Each service is customised and comes with the gift of words, to exhort, encourage, impart hope, bring comfort, compassion or companionship.

GEMS TO BOOK - Schedule a guest speaking time of exhortation for your next event, have a "meet and greet an author" day with your friends, a one-on-one heart-to-heart encouragement time for an elderly grandparent or a struggling teen or book a practical 'Hope with Home Help' package for an overwhelmed mum.

GEMS TO BLESS - Surprise, celebrate or uplift someone special with a unique and personalised word gift. April May also supports local artists. Be sure to visit the store or enquire about 'word art on canvas' as a gift through the enquiry form.

GEMS TO GIVE - Donate a little or a lot to contribute towards a one on one time of support, encouragement or practical help to a loved one in need.

Service bookings begin with an enquiry, are discussed, agreed upon and made by appointment. Costs will vary. Service packages are available on request.

Australian born but residing in New Zealand, all enquiries from either country will be acknowledged.

April May:- Author, wife, mother, survivor, teacher, guest speaker. Lover of people, imparter of hope and founder of April May Gems, has gained a wide range of experience across a broad range of ages - and giving, is her specialty.

GEMS TO BOOK (GUEST SPEAKING, 1O1-H2H, HOME HELP)
Guest Speaking - to groups of any size:
Churches, Youth groups, Ladies' ministry, Children's Sunday school, Rest homes or a "Meet a local author' day with a group of friends. Schedule April May to speak a word of exhortation via one of her books at your next event.

1O1-H2H - is a "one-on-one-heart-to-heart" encouragement time over coffee & cake, scones & tea or a Maccas milkshake - whether it be:
- A time of companionship and a listening ear for an elderly or lonely grandparent
- A word of hope and direction for a young person
OR
- A Hope with Home Help package offering practical help with household tasks for that overwhelmed mum who is struggling, particularly after the loss of a baby.
If requested or accepted, every 101-H2H will end with prayer. (please note, this service will never be charged to the recipient. Costs are covered by donations received via the store page or by those who make an appointment on behalf of a recipient.)

April May has extensive experience in the following:-

- Writing and performing drama skits (all ages)
- Outreach (children's ministry)

GEMS TO GIVE (SUPPORT)
DONATE a little (or a lot) towards a one-on-one time of support, encouragement or practical help.

Your contribution will go towards an hour of one-on-one, heart-to-heart (1O1-H2H) "listening, encouragement and support" time for someone who is feeling lonely, discouraged or overwhelmed with life.

A 1O1-H2H might include but is not limited to:
- Companionship & conversation over coffee and cake at a local cafe, especially for widowed or elderly folk who just need a friend to talk to.
- A milkshake and a word of hope and encouragement or prayer support for a young person struggling with direction or identity.
- Practical help with a word of comfort for a mum who is grieving the loss of a baby, or is just overwhelmed with everyday household tasks.
1O1-H2H is a service that will never be charged to the recipient. Costs are covered by donations received via the store page or by those who make an appointment on behalf of a recipient.
